Mindfulness + Justice Center
Intercare, Patagonia Arizona
The project creates a host for disabled children utilizing elderly people is one that prioritizes
intergenerational care and community engagement. The design approach for this type of facility
should embrace accessibility, safety, and comfort for both the children and the elderly residents.
The architecture should promote a nurturing and supportive environment where disabled
children can thrive, learn and grow while elderly residents feel a sense of purpose and fulfillment by
contributing to the well-being of the children.
In terms of layout, the design should include adaptable spaces that can accommodate the diverse
needs of both the children and elderly residents. It should have ample open spaces to encourage
socialization and interaction, as well as private spaces to allow for privacy and rest. The building’s
infrastructure should be built with durability and sustainability in mind, making it a resilient and
long-lasting facility.
