About
My name is Hamza Rahma, an
undergraduate to be with a Bachelor
of Science in Architecture from the
University of Arizona (UA). This
portfolio represents my journey and
a catalog of my progression since I
was introduced to the vast world of
architecture. Coming from Bahrain,
a country based on tradition and
culture, to a city like Tucson, where
diversity and modernism take place,
I have had the chance to embrace
my skills and ambition for this field
in both manners. My architectural
studies in Bahrain allowed me to
situate myself on this path and decide
to expand my knowledge in a different
environment. Pursuing my degree
in Arizona opened a new window of
perceiving architecture by introducing
me to the different aspects and
possibilities of architectural design.
Design can be approached. The
conceptual side of design brought
me to a new realization and taught
me how architecture could be related
to every aspect of our lives and in
every space we occupy. Furthermore,
having the experience of living and
learning architecture in an urban city
helped me to deeply grasp the role
that architecture plays as a guide
to the city and its inhabitants. The
journey I have been through has built
my understanding of architecture
and its impact on our social life and
surrounding, yet it has not come
to an end. My goal is to pursue my
education in this field and expand
my knowledge to a further extent
to
develop
my
understanding
and capabilities through diverse
possibilities. I’m looking forward
to the future that is waiting for me.
