Revealing the spaces
Tree house, mount lemmon arizona
This architecture statement describes a project located in Mount Lemmon that utilizes the site’s
natural features to create a harmonious and functional design. The design features a ramped bridge
that connects all elements of the project, creating a sense of unity. The spaces are designed to meet
the basic needs of human functioning and the roofs and ramps have a dramatic curvature to break
down the typical cube-like structure of buildings. The design is inspired by the primary organelles
of a cell and later evolved to incorporate the symbiotic relationship of mushrooms, symbolized by
the scattering of spaces and the pathway that connects everything together. The design aims to
create a unique and harmonious relationship between the building and its natural surroundings.
