Accessible to all
The bedrooms have been carefully organized to accommodate (ADA) requirements.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a broad civil law that has the force of
a constitutional amendment. It necessitates equitable access to society and equal
opportunities. Therefore, the organization of the entire project adjusts and accommodates
a user with a wheelchair comfortably and allows everyone to experience the building the
same way. Universal design has the potential to positively change society and spaces so
that everyone can participate in the community and bring value to any workplace regardless
of their abilities. For example, in my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity of
working with someone who was partially impaired. Unfortunately, there was a time when
he would never get things done due to his disability. It took him 10 min to get to class,
in comparison to his classmates who could get to class in less than a minute. This was
a leading inspiration to make everyone have the same experience utilizing the building.
